Why did my card deposit fail?

When a card deposit fails, there are multiple reasons that could have caused it (lack of balance, wrong security code, ...) and they will almost always come from the card-issuing bank. Therefore, when you make the deposit with a card, check if your bank has charged you the amount of it or if it is simply frozen momentarily.
