How do I transfer money to another Verse user? Is the money credited immediately?

  • Updated

To send money to another Verse user through the app, you must first have an available balance 💰 in your Verse account.

💡 As a general rule, to start any money movement in the application, press the blue button in the lower right corner of the application (the icon with two arrows facing opposite directions). In the drop-down menu, you will see the different operation types you can perform in Verse:

✧ Make transfers
✧ Add money to Verse
✧ Create an event
✧ Request or split
✧ Pay

To send money to another user through the application, press the "Pay" button and follow these steps:

  1. Select the user, either entering their $VerseTag or phone number (you will see that the application will help you, displaying the list of your “Frequent Contacts” or your “Friends in Verse”)
  2. Once the contact has been selected, fill in the amount of money you are going to send, and press “Next”.
  3. You will see a screen with the payment details; please read and confirm that everything is ok and then click on the blue button at the bottom of the screen that begins with the word "Pay".

And that's it! 🤗

Payments to other Verse users are instant, therefore, the account of the receiving user (e.g. your friend, family member, or colleague) will be credited in a matter of seconds.

Important to note:

If you have sent the money to a person who has not yet registered 😥, don't worry, you can cancel the payment with the 'Cancel' 👍 option. If the beneficiary is registered, but has not yet verified their account, the payment will be automatically canceled within seven days and the money will be returned to your Verse account.

Finally, if you don't have enough balance in your account to pay, don't worry. In this case, an auto-deposit will be made to your Verse account from the card you have added in our application, and this will finally allow you to make the payment to your friend.
